LeadingAge Kentucky Honors the Life of Rhonda M. Hoyer

LeadingAge Kentucky continues to mourn and honor the sudden and unexpected death of Rhonda Hoyer.

Rhonda was with LeadingAge Kentucky for the past 17 years and was integral to LeadingAge Kentucky’s mission and was a loyal and trusted friend.

Rhonda wore many hats at LeadingAge Kentucky and while we have moved quickly to onboard staff to cover her various duties, no one can ever replace Rhonda’s beautiful smile, helpful attitude, and constant positive demeanor.

Rhonda was a single mother of a 14-year-old boy and was active in supporting him at the Christian Academy of Louisville. Alex is involved in the marching band and is active in the archery club.

Nothing was more important to Rhonda than her son Alex. She was committed that he received that very best Christian upbringing she could find. Christian Academy of Louisville has been a constant support for Alex, and it was her fervent desire that he graduate. Because Christian Academy is a private school and not state supported tuition payments are necessary to continue his education.

Because of this, the LeadingAge Kentucky board of directors has established the Rhonda Hoyer scholarship fund, through the LeadingAge Kentucky Foundation to support her son’s continued education at Christian Academy.
